Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations*
- Alternative Information Center (AIC) - a joint Israeli-Palestinian political activism venture that combines information, research and critical analysis. The Center's "Jerusalem on the Net" provides a collection of articles and information on the Israeli policy concerning the future of Jerusalem, the Palestinian resistance to the Israeli plans, the variety of opinions on Jerusalem inside the Israeli public itself, reports about protest activities in Israel, among the Palestinians as well as abroad.
- The Arab Center for Agricultural Development, a non-governmental institution, was established to support Palestinian farmers in the West Bank and Gaza. ACAD seeks to improve agricultural performance and productivity, and to assist farmers in overcoming technical, financial and marketing problems. Priority is given to small and intermediate farmers experiencing financial difficulties.
- The Development Resource Center (DRC), established 1992, is a Palestinian not-for-profit organization that focuses on the provision of high-quality technology and production support services to the Palestinian manufacturing sector.
- ECO - PEACE - Middle East Environmental NGO Forum was founded on December 7, 1994 at Taba, Egypt. Egyptian, Israeli, Jordanian and Palestinian environmentalists agreed to cooperate in an effort to promote the integration of environmental considerations into the regional development agenda. Eco-Peace Forum is constituted by a General Assembly, open to all NGOs in the region.
- The Educational Network, established in 1989 by the Ramallah Friends' Schools as a networking body concerned with the protection, effectiveness, and development of Palestinian education.
- The Jerusalem Fund for Education and Community Development, an independent, non-political, non-partisan, non-sectarian charitable organization supports the development of grassroots Palestinian initiatives in Israel and in the Occupied Territories of the West Bank and Gaza.
- Land and Water Establishment (LAWE) is a human rights advocacy group focused on land confiscation, property destruction, and environmental protection. LAWE provides free legal services to those in need in the West Bank and Gaza concerning land confiscation and property destruction.
- The Palestine NGO Network (BARAKA), is an initiative to build a host communication system managed by and for Palestinian NGOs to facilitate communication between Palestinian NGOs and the outside world.
- The Palestinian Dihtmlora and Refugee Centre (SHAML) - is an independent non-governmental association, dedicated to Palestinian refugees and the Dihtmlora. It was established in 1994, by a group of concerned academics and human rights activists who felt the need to examine issues pertaining to Palestinian refugees in a broad perspective which takes into consideration relevant experiences in other parts of the world.
- The Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group (PHRMG) was established on 9 December 1996. PHRMG publishes The Palestine Human Rights Monitor.
- The Palestinian Independent Commission for Citizens' Rights (PICCR) was established in 1994. The PICCR monitors the activities of the PNA and other bodies for the abuse of power or the squandering of public funds. It also informs citizens of their legal rights and the protection for these rights available under international human rights instruments.

- The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations (PNGO), lists names of PNGO's coordinating and preparatory committees and General Assembly.
- The Palestinian Society for the Protection of Human Rights and the Environment (LAW) - a Palestinian Human Rights organization based in Jerusalem, was founded in 1990 by a group of Palestinian lawyers to promote human rights and further the principles of the rule of law, and to defend Palestinian rights.
- The Palestinian Center for Peace and Democracy (PCPD) from McGill and another PCPD page hosted at MSANews Gateway. PCDP is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the concepts of democracy, peace, human rights, social justice and civic education in the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip. It was founded in August 1992 by a group of Palestinian intellectuals and professionals to create a forum for free and uncensored dialogue.
- The People-to-People Program, The program aims to foster wider public exposure to and involvement in the peace process; to strengthen and increase direct people-to-people relationships and cooperation based on equality and reciprocity. The program supports joint initiatives by Israeli and Palestinian public and private organizations.
- The Women’s Affairs Technical Committee, (WATC) - a non-government organization formed of a coalition of women in five political parties, independent professional women and representatives of women’s study centers and human rights organizations. WATC works to abolish all forms of discrimination against Palestinian women.
